Hi, I’m Leanne, a Scottish secondary school Maths teacher and mum of two girls.
I have 14 years experience teaching in Maths in mainstream schools as well as in an ASN school catering for pupils with a variety of different needs.
I set up Maths Teacher Mum to help as many students as I can, succeed with Maths, so whether you’re looking for group, one to one, online or in person tutoring, I cater for all students from S1 up to National 5 Maths, in mainstream or home education.
Maths Teacher Mum will instil the confidence and knowledge you need to achieve your potential.
I completely understand how children can feel if they are finding Maths daunting or tricky. I’ve worked with hundreds of pupils that needed a bit of extra encouragement and support to achieve their potential, but more importantly to actually enjoy Maths.
I understand that children struggle with Maths for a variety of reasons, including missing periods of school due to ill health, and I’m here to boost their confidence and fill in any gaps in their learning.
Who is Maths Teacher Mum for?
As a secondary trained teacher, my expertise lies in secondary education so I tutor students from S1 to S3 working on the BGE – broad general education as well as students in S4/5/6 studying National 5 Maths and Applications of Maths. I offer a variety of tutoring options – online, face to face, groups and one to one. I cater for the needs of the individual so I can work in a way that suits you. I have some daytime availability which I dedicate to home learning students – students who, for whatever reason, can’t access mainstream education but still want to achieve their Maths qualification.
